Our Mission

The mission of the Butler County Historical Society is to collect, preserve, and interpret the documents, artifacts, and historical sites of Butler County's rich heritage for the educational benefit of the public.

The Butler County Historical Society is committed to serving all members of Butler County. Submitted donations will not be denied from our collection based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or political belief.
​
All donations, as long as they meet the criteria set forth by the terms and conditions listed in the donation agreement and collections management policy, shall be equally preserved within our collections.
