BUTLER TROOPS
IN WORLD WAR I
AN AMERICA250 TALK

Join historian Deb Kruger for the story of Butler County’s own Company L, 112th Infantry.
Our presentation traces Butler’s soldiers from their training in Pennsylvania to their service in France. We will travel with them through their daily lives and experiences in the military.
Two local soldiers will be the focus of our talk: Joseph T. Black, the namesake of Butler’s VFW Post 249, and Frederick O. Blankenship, the namesake of American Legion Post 117.
